About Superfruit Lactic Acid + Multifruit 8% AHA Exfoliating Mask
Our new Superfruit Exfoliating Mask uses a combination of natural Lactic + Fruit Acids (known as “chemical exfoliants”) and Rice Powder (known as a “physical exfoliant”) to gently lift away dull, dead skin and give you a healthy-looking glow. Consider it as a facial in a jar - no appointment necessary!
What are the Hero Ingredients of Superfruit?
-
Fruit AHA Blend (7%): Contains a blend of bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, lemon, and orange to resurface dead skin cells, resulting in a healthy glow.
-
Lactic Acid (1.8%): This is a naturally occurring AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that is present in the body and also made from glucose. The lactic acid in Superfruit is derived from fermented corn which helps to naturally brighten dull and congested skin.
-
Rice Powder (2%): A natural exfoliating ingredient manufactured from rice seeds. The grains from rice powder are inspired by Asian traditions and have been traditionally used to clean skin for centuries. Given the shape and texture, rice powder gently polishes away dull, dead skin to reveal brighter, softer skin.

What results should I expect from using Superfruit?
You can expect softer, brighter, smoother skin in just 5 minutes! With continued use, users should notice an improvement in hyperpigmentation, reduced pore size, and less skin texture. Since AHAs help with skin renewal, you can also expect to have firmer skin and improvement in fine lines and wrinkles due to increased collagen production.
How can I add Superfruit to my skincare routine?
Superfruit Lactic Acid + Multifruit 8% AHA Exfoliating Mask is best applied to wet, cleansed skin, so you will want to immediately apply it after cleansing. We recommend you integrate Superfruit into your skincare routine 2-3 times per week. You can use Superfruit day or night, however, if you choose to use Superfruit during the day, be sure to follow up with your favourite SPF to protect the skin from any photosensitivity.
What is the difference between a clay mask and an exfoliating mask?
Soothe Rosehip Vitamin C Clay Mask and Detox Green Tea Antioxidant Clay Mask help to draw out dirt, oil, and impurities that are deeply embedded in your skin. Clay masks are great for preventing blemishes and providing a deep clean to our pores. Superfruit Lactic Acid + Multifruit 8% AHA Exfoliating Mask uses a combination of chemical exfoliants (Lactic Acid and Fruit AHA Blend) as well as a physical exfoliant (Rice Powder) to gently polish the surface of the skin. Exfoliating masks work to reveal brighter and smoother skin.
What’s the difference between AHAs and BHAs?
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) are water-soluble chemical exfoliants that help to exfoliate the top layer of the skin to separate dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. AHAs promote skin renewal by stimulating collagen production, resulting in softer and smoother skin texture. AHAs play an important role in Superfruit to help the skin achieve a healthy glow.
Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) are oil-soluble chemical exfoliants that penetrate deeper into the skin than AHAs. BHAs remove dead skin cells on the surface of the skin but also extracts excess sebum from the skin, minimizing the look of pores.
Is it safe to use both a chemical and physical exfoliant together?
Yes! The rice powder used in Superfruit is a spherical shape, making it ideal for gentle exfoliation. The combination of lactic acid and multifruit blend AHA help to remove the dead cells on the surface layer of the skin. Due to the exfoliating properties of Superfruit, we recommend conducting a patch test especially if you have skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea which can be exasperated by exfoliation.
