There is actually no legal standard when it comes to ‘natural’ skincare. So we’ve decided to set our own.
At Three Ships, our definition of natural is simple: every product must be made entirely of ingredients sourced from nature—plants, minerals, or microbes. Even the ingredients of our ingredients must be fully naturally derived.

When we say natural, we mean it. We only use plant-derived or mineral-based ingredients.
All of our ingredients have a full-time job. We hand-pick each of our actives based on their clinically-proven results.
We go the extra mile to vet our ingredients—even the ingredients of our ingredients—through rigorous research and documentation.

We never have and never will test on animals! We also obtain a cruelty-free statement from all of our ingredient suppliers.

Shipping & Delivery

Canadian orders paid for will be fulfilled within 3-5 days. Our third party shipping company will then take 1-7 days for delivery.
Canadian Trial Kit orders are shipped with Canada Post letter mail and will not have tracking. After they are fulfilled, these orders can take up to 14 days to arrive.
USA orders paid for will be fulfilled within 3 days. Our third party shipping company will then take 1-5 days for delivery.
Please note that all orders placed on Fridays after 1pm EST will be processed the following Monday.

Yes! We happily offer free shipping for orders over $65.

You can choose two free minis on orders over $75 before tax. Once you hit the threshold, simply click on the two minis that you would like to be included in your order before heading to checkout.
Please note only one of each sample chosen will be included in each order.

When an item is out of stock, there will be a prompt on the product’s page "Notify Me When Available" where the Add To Cart button would usually be. Enter your email address and you will then receive a notification when the product is restocked.

All Three Ships products have a shelf life of 24-36 months from the date of manufacturing. Look for the jar symbol on your product packaging to know exactly how long it will be good for after opening.
Most of our products will be safe to use for 6-12 months with the exception of our eye masks which have an expiry of 3 months after opening. You can use our free stickers to mark your opening date so it is easy to keep track of expiry!

Since our products are made with 100% natural oils and ingredients, keep all products at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Keeping products in the fridge can provide a cooling and refreshing sensation to your application (especially with our Eye Masks!), however, it will not extend their shelf life.
We also recommend ensuring that all products are kept away from children and infants.

Our products aren't tested for use on babies, so we don't recommend them for infants. Consult with a pediatrician for suitable baby care options.

We always recommend a gentle, minimal routine approach for pre-teens building their first skincare regimen! A cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF is the perfect routine to get started.
Start by choosing a cleanser: Purify for normal skin, Harmony for sensitive skin, and Refresh for oily and acne-prone skin types. Round out the routine with Radiance for a healthy, moisturized glow!
We don’t have an SPF (yet!), but check out one of our retailers for other clean beauty options.

On average, our serums last 2-6 months, creams around 2-3 months, and cleansers 3-4 months . Our minis generally last 2 weeks with daily usage. Naturally, these estimates may vary depending on your daily dosage!

Our cream jars are filled precisely to the weight listed on the packaging. To ensure that the product doesn't overflow when closed, the jars must have a small amount of headspace for the pump to be screwed in! Once you start to pump, the mechanism will push the cream up towards the dispenser.
Returns & Refunds

Unopened items that you no longer are in need of can be returned to us within 30 days of your order date. Please reach out to our Skin Concierge at hello@threeshipsbeauty.com and we can get this sorted for you right away! We will provide a shipping label for you to do the return. Once we receive the products, a refund will be processed right away.

Ingredients

Yes! All of our products meet the highest quality in avoiding certain additives. Our reasons to not include these ingredients range from not being suitable for those with sensitive skin to not safe for infants. While our products aren’t made for babies, we want new moms to feel comfortable with buying our products.
The skincare industry has come a long way; there are so many innovative ingredients and substances that are naturally derived that we use in place of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and synthetic fragrance.

All of our products are free from synthetic fragrances however, we use very limited amounts of essential oils in our products.
Since all of our ingredients are 100% natural, the raw formula can often smell unpleasant. By using less than 0.8% concentrations of essential oils, we are able to create an enjoyable skincare experience without any effects on your skin.

All of our products, with the exception of Superfruit containing Barley Extract, are formulated without gluten-containing ingredients! However, they are produced on lines where gluten-containing products are also handled. As a result, we're unable to guarantee that our products are 100% gluten-free.

No, a number of our products are made from soy. If you have a soy allergy, we recommend that you do not use our products as we cannot guarantee any one product is 100% soy free.

At the moment, we do not have any products that contain SPF.

Traditional retinol is a Vitamin A derivative whereas, bio-retinols are plant chemicals that are not Vitamin A derivatives, but works in a similar mechanism and have the same benefits to the skin cells as a traditional retinol would. Due to bio-retinols being plant derived, it is not nearly as harsh on the skin as regular retinol!

Discount stacking is not active on our website so only one discount code will be accepted per purchase! This includes rewards codes as they are not stackable.

There could be a few reasons your discount code isn't working:

Rewards & Referrals

There are two ways you can redeem your points on the Three Ships website!
First, when you are logged into your account and placing an order, you can redeem your points right from the checkout page.
If you want to browse our rewards first before placing your order, you can login to your account and visit the Rewards page. From here, you can see your points balance and which rewards you are eligible for, as well as your redemption history! When you redeem for a reward on this page, you will receive a code to enter in the discount box at checkout. If you lose this code, a copy will also be emailed to you!

Three Ships rewards can be used on all non-discounted orders. If a discount code is already present for your order, a rewards redemption code cannot be used.

Three Ships points will only expire if your account has not been active for more than 1 year.

If your birthday was entered on your account more than 30 days before the day of, you will receive your points on your birthday!
If you enter your birthday within 30 days of the date, your reward will be delayed by up to 30 days.
Any entry after your birthday, you will receive your reward the following year.

You can write reviews directly on the product’s page on our website! In order to receive your points reward, make sure you are signed into your account before writing the review.

Natural Enthusiasts and Natural Leaders are both eligible to be a part of the Pre-Production Sample group, you will be sent an email prompting you to fill out a google form which will act as your registration to our PPS group. If you have already used the reward in an order that you wish to return, your reward will be returned to your account in the form of points. For example, if you redeem 100 points for $5 off and return your order, the $5 reward will be returned as 100 points back to your account and the rest will be returned to your original payment method.

Someone from our team will review your application to ensure you’ve correctly reached the Natural Leader (Tier 3). Once vetted, you will be accepted into our community and will receive an email from our team with a link to register your details (social handles, shipping address, etc.). Once completed, we will reach out to activate your custom affiliate discount code/link so you can start earning commission on all referred sales! Yes! If you are interested in being a part of the Three Ships Ambassador program where you earn a commission with your personal discount code, you will need to be in the Natural Leader tier.

This error message shows when our system detects a self-referral. For example, if you've already signed up for an account under the email test1@gmail.com, but visit the page again and attempt to claim another reward using another email address test2@gmail.com, we will block the referral since it's considered a self-referral and an abuse of the referral rewards program. Our app also tracks the IP addresses of customers to reinforce this. So if the customer sent the referral to someone who is in the same location and/or is using the same network, this would be flagged as a self-referral because the referrer and the referee would most likely have the same IP address.

If you return an item for a refund, your points for the specific item(s) only will automatically be removed as if the product(s) was never ordered.
Subscriptions

Subscriptions are the easiest way for you to have your favourite products delivered regularly on your preferred schedule! We’ll automatically send your selected items at the frequency you choose when you first order. Plus, when you choose to subscribe to your favourite products, you can get them at a discount!
You’re always in control of your subscription. You can adjust your delivery frequency, next order date, or quantity anytime through 'My Subscription' in your account portal. Modifications can be made up until the next shipment date, and you can cancel anytime.

Once you've created a subscription, managing it is simple! In the ‘My Subscription’ section of your account, you can easily change your next order date, skip an order, adjust your delivery frequency, or cancel a subscribed product under ‘Manage Subscription’. Please allow up to 24 hours for any modifications or cancellations to take effect.

Yes! In the ‘My Subscription’ section of your account, you can easily add products to your next order under the ‘Add Product’ option. You can also make changes to the items currently in your subscription by clicking on ‘Manage Product’ next to the item you wish to change. Here you can reschedule, update the frequency, skip, swap, update the quantity, or remove the product from your next order.

Subscription items will continue to ship automatically until you choose to cancel. By placing this order, you authorize us to charge your card for future shipments according to the frequency and quantity you’ve selected. The total cost of each shipment may vary based on your chosen quantity and delivery schedule.
