Why Our Products Are Out of Stock
Hi! It's Laura, co-founder of Three Ships. As you may know, we've been experiencing a lot of out of stock issues on our inventory. It's not a pleasant experience for you, our community, and on behalf of the entire team, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are doing our best to bring everything back as quickly as we can.
Over the last year and a half, we've seen the world change in ways no one could imagine. Our goal at Three Ships was to build a better skincare company; to accomplish so, we’ve extended our supply chain across the world to source the highest quality natural ingredients, so we can create truly effective products. Because of this, we have seen our lead times double – what used to take us 30 days to source is now taking up to 90 days. We take customer experience very seriously and want to be as transparent as we can about this. Here's what we're doing to improve this situation:
- Refilling on shorter batches – Typically we put products on the manufacturing line in large batches for efficiency and economies of scale. We've now reduced our minimums for filling in order to get products back in stock at a faster pace.
- Prioritizing our current customers on restock – As products begin coming back, we're making sure that our existing customers who have been waiting patiently get first access to shop, before it gets released to the public. Make sure you're signed up for notifications here.
- Our products are still available at some of your fave retailers - You can still find Three Ships products at Hudson’s Bay, Target, and some of your favorite local businesses. Check out our store locator to find a store close to you.
On a final note, it means so much to see your support for our products. Out of stocks is a hurdle that we cannot wait to get over. In the road ahead, I’m sure that there will be many more opportunities to improve. We will learn from this. Just wanted to say thank you for the explanations on stock outs. As frustrating and unfortunate as they can be, it really helps to understand 1) why it’s happening and 2) your efforts to address them as soon as possible. So thanks again and I can’t wait to try Radiance! I’m new to Three Ships and so far have loved every single product.
